Advocacy and Policy Engagement

The Somali Youth Hub advocates for policy changes and engages in policy discussions to address systemic barriers and promote youth-friendly policies. This service includes policy analysis and research, policy advocacy and campaigns, and facilitating meaningful youth participation in policy-making processes to ensure that the voices and perspectives of Somali youth are heard and considered in policy decisions. Focus areas include:

Policy analysis and research: Conducting research and analysis on policies that impact Somali youth, and advocating for evidence-based policy changes to promote their rights, well-being, and opportunities.

Policy advocacy and campaigns: Engaging in advocacy efforts, such as lobbying, public campaigns, and policy dialogues, to raise awareness, mobilize support, and influence policy decisions at local, regional, and national levels.

Youth participation in policy-making: Facilitating meaningful participation of youth in policy-making processes, providing them with opportunities to voice their opinions, concerns, and recommendations, and ensuring their perspectives are considered in policy development and implementation.
