The Somali Youth Hub believes in the power of mentorship and guidance in shaping the lives of Somali youth. This service provides opportunities for youth to connect with experienced mentors who can provide guidance, advice, and support in their personal and professional development. Mentors serve as role models and provide valuable insights, helping youth make informed decisions, set goals, and overcome challenges. Focus areas include:
One-on-one mentorship: Pairing youth with experienced mentors who provide guidance, support, and advice on personal, academic, and career-related matters, to help youth navigate challenges and make informed decisions.
Peer mentorship: Establishing peer mentorship programs where older or more experienced youth provide mentorship and support to younger or less experienced youth, fostering a culture of mutual support and peer learning.
Career guidance: Offering career counseling, job shadowing, and career exploration opportunities to help youth identify their career interests, strengths, and goals, and make informed career choices.
