Leadership and Civic Engagement

The Somali Youth Hub believes in the potential of Somali youth to be leaders and active citizens in their communities. This service focuses on building leadership skills and promoting civic engagement among youth through training, workshops, and opportunities to participate in community initiatives and projects. It encourages youth to become active agents of positive change and contribute to the development of their communities. Focus areas include:

Leadership development: Providing training and opportunities for youth to develop leadership skills, including decision-making, communication, and problem-solving, to become effective leaders in their communities.

Civic education and participation: Educating youth about their rights and responsibilities as citizens, and promoting their active engagement in civic activities such as community service, advocacy, and volunteerism.

Youth empowerment and voice: Encouraging and amplifying youth voices in decision-making processes at the local, regional, and national levels, and advocating for youth-friendly policies and programs.
